As Vice President of Madison Planning Group, Ken works closely with individuals and families to help them navigate the many financial goals and challenges they face throughout life. He specializes in personal and family finance, including retirement planning, investment advisory services, risk management, and college planning. His approach centers on caring for clients’ finances as if they were his own—while recognizing that every client’s priorities, concerns, and definition of success are uniquely their own. Above all, his goal is for clients to feel comfort and security for themselves and their families.

Ken began working in the financial industry in 2020, though his interest in finance started years earlier. In his early twenties, he found himself reading the work of Ben Graham, mentor to Warren Buffett, well before finance became his career. This was not his original professional path—he has worked across a wide range of fields, from food service and warehouse work to landscaping and automotive sales, and at various points even considered becoming an engineer or a history teacher. Ultimately, he was drawn to Madison Planning Group by Gary’s integrity and genuine care for people. Having grown up without financial security and watching his parents struggle, he developed a deep desire not only to avoid that struggle himself, but to help others do the same. As his role has evolved, he continues to learn every day, taking on more responsibility as his experience grows.

Over time, Ken’s perspective on financial planning has deepened. He believes that understanding what someone considers to be a problem is often more important than simply knowing how to fix one, and that the best solution is only effective if it’s a solution a client is willing to see through. While many people view finance as something focused on the present or near future, he sees it as a long-term discipline—one that shapes life ten, twenty, or even fifty years down the road. To him, success means helping clients reach a point where their finances no longer stand in the way of what truly matters to them. He is driven by the opportunity to work alongside an exceptional team and serve clients who make the work meaningful.

Outside of the office, Ken enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, exercising, and creating things—whether through hands-on crafts or building projects. He values new experiences and long, thoughtful conversations with friends, and he is passionate about supporting substance abuse recovery efforts. Personally, he is motivated by a belief that life is a singular opportunity, and he is determined not to waste a moment of it.
